After re-reading I realised my mistake ..... as bot Neurus and Lomumart have correctly stated, if they have made the mistake it shouldn't be a problem.
I thought you had misjudged your visa after a scan of the OP.
Go to immigration as it opens and you will get the woman that some people have problem with but we have always found to be most helpful. She is at desk number 1 and is always there before everyone else.

Hi can you please send me a PM with her name. Leo
Last time I was down there I met a very helpfull middle aged lady from one of the Thai Visa Services helping people outside the venue with queries and then handing them over to the girls inside. Not sure if she is still there, someone may know her? She sounded like she knew her stuff but Im easily duped!!!
I ll PM you her details and contact No, may be worth a ring??
Update:
I´m still in Thailand, I´m not behind bars, and I did not pay 20k.
Thanks’ to all of you for all your advices to my problem. Some of them very positive and some who made me very scary. I got at lot of PM´s, and will mention two of them. Both were regarding somebody who knows somebody who could help me. One of them wanted 10K, and then my problem was over, the other gave me a name and phone number of a lady who could help me.
I selected the last one, and had a meeting this morning with this nice lady, to whom I explained my situation. She was offering to go with me to the emigration, and help me out, but warned me that I probably have to pay a fine of 2K, as it was my fault that I did not check my passport when I arrived.
At the emigration she hang around her neck an identification card, as all the other employees had, and worked around them as she was working there. She talked with a couple of them, and after 10 minutes, she came back and handed me my passport with a new stamp, allowing me to stay 90 days.
After we came out, I thanked her and asked what that would cost me. I got the usual answer, it´s up to you, so I gave her the 2K she had told me would be the fine. She said it was too much, and wanted to give me 1K back. I refused, and offered her a kiss also, but no that was too much.
So in my view, a happy ending. So anybody has problem with visa, contact this lady. I´m not sure I´m allowed mentioning her name and phoning number here ??, so send me a PM.
Special thanks’ to lippy45
The inconsistency in all such situations is highlighted by my own trivial experience a couple of years ago. My annual extension (on the basis of employment) was due at the end of May, but my new passport hadn't yet arrived by post from Bangkok. It arrived the next day and I scooted off - one day late - to Immigration expecting them to say no problem after 6 years of extensions, but no, it was 500 baht and the first 2 pages of my brand new passport were taken up with a scrawled endorsement citing me as having overstayed - for one day.
We ll keep this ladies details should any other members need
assistance in the future. She does appear to be genuine and have
good contacts with immigration staff.
