Re: Happy Thanksgiving
Thanks JD, tip of the hat to you also. I do indeed miss not being back there this time of year. Pete

Thanks JD!
Me too Pete, Thanksgiving was a huge family gathering for us and sometimes the only time each year I saw some of my cousins, aunts, uncles, etc.

Thanks JD and Happy Thanksgiving to all of our fellow Americans.
Re: Happy Thanksgiving
Sat one day with my US friend comparing Thanksgiving with Harvest Festival in the UK
We had both been to both and thoroughly enjoyed them. My friend was astonished when we went to church to find it full of pigs, goats, sheep and chickens with tons of fruit and veg
I was lucky enough when working in Chicago to be invited to a Thanksgiving meal with a friends family. What a heart warming experience. Not a bit like the one portrayed in 'Scent of a woman' movie

Re: Happy Thanksgiving
I want to thank JD also for making our Thanksgiving perfect. We (the missus and I) decided to have more intimate Thanksgiving meal at home this year instead of going out. Cooking a turkey with all the trimmings for two people just isn't worth the work (plus we'd be eating it for days) so I called JD and asked if he could do a pre-cooked Thanksgiving meal for two.
Well, he did, and as I sit here stuffed and trying not to fall asleep on my keyboard I have just finished one of the finest holiday meals ever with none of the fuss and mess. The meal had everything and was even given to me hot and ready to eat on real plates covered with foil. Both the missus and I were shocked at the quality and quantity of food for the price I was charged. I won't mention the price here because I believe JD either had the Thanksgiving spirit or made a mistake in pricing as there is no way he made any profit on the meal.
Thanks again JD!
Here's a photo (not including the apple pies and cream to be consumed later when I can breathe again)! That's pumpkin soup, gravy, and cranberry sauce in the bowls; four vegie side dishes, stuffing, and a generous portion of turkey on the plates.

T90 would be a good place to go. They always have a good Thanksgiving buffet. We've been there in past years but just wanted to do a more private family meal today.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving
Boy, I'm glad my wife doesn't use this forum...........what's Thanksgiving without the smell of that Turkey cooking in the oven all day while I'm watching football.
Seriously, J.D. must be very proud no matter what he charged you! I hope my wife doesn't find out or J.D. will likely have another Thanksgiving customer.
Which brings to mind for all three of Hua Hin's Americans (just kidding). This year I signed up for the NFL Replay since UBC has chosen not to contract with ASN for what used to be 90% of my TV menu.
It is fantastic!! If you're a NFL fan you really should take a look at it. Every game available as soon as broadcasts are over to watch at your leisure. To sweeten the pot I recently purchased a Galaxy Tab 10.1 and am fooling around trying to find a good bookreader app for it. While I was busy doing that I found an NFL app and loaded it; now, with an assist from a Dlink wireless hub, I carry the Tablet around with me watching every game I'm interested in. Could life be any better??

Re: Happy Thanksgiving
That looks delicious. I decided to cook again but we won't have ours until Sunday due to my daughter's school having activities tonight and tomorrow night. As soon as I looked at your plates HHF, I thought "leftovers" then thought of your dogs, then though of the two strays you took in. Still have them or off to a good home?
Thanks again JD for kindling some Thanksgiving spirit into us old birds!
