@HHF I think the Amity treaty was scheduled to expire, but has been extended. I may be wrong and can't remember the exact last time I looked, but thought not too long in the past
You may be right Migrant. I was told that no new licenses were being issued but the old ones were still valid and could be transferred (within the same business type) by a friend who bought a license to own a real estate firm from an American in Bangkok who was leaving the country.

If the treaty is still in effect, that could be good news indeed for Americans as another part of it allowed an American to own freehold up to a rai of land but I was also told that there was a finite number of those allowed under the treaty and they have been all used already as well.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
