Not really....... Have to admit though, I would just love to see a fully fit Welsh side going into the 6N. Saying that, England and Ireland are certainly in the same position - Scotland less so.

I'm a great fan of Gethin Jenkins, he's had a superb season for the Blues and what happens, knackered yet again for the international season. Add this to the loss of our 2nd rows, and our pack looks worryingly weakened - unfortunately we do not have the strength in depth that a lot would like to believe.

No debate on Wales producing the great Fly Half's, but some great debate on who's "the one" in Wales!! Phil Bennett, Cliff Morgan, Johnathan Davies......

We used to live across the road from great friends of Barry "The King" John and he visited regularly..... unfortunately, I was too young to bloody remember!! :banghead:

No not Cliff Morgan, I remember him when tv was in black and white, spent all his time kicking to touch and gaining 10 yards at a time. My main memory of Cliff Bennet was playing for the Barbarians against NZ, 1973 I think, one of the best games I have ever seen. Re black and white tv, difficult to differentiate Wales and Ireland, France and Scotland.

I remember an interview with him explaining why he retired early. On one of his many personal appearances a girl actually curtsied to him, he thought it was time to give up under such adulation.

Well, the "Sweaties" are confident....... :D

Scotland v England: SRU red-faced after selling 'Calcutta Cup winners' T-shirts online ahead of Six Nations opener

After Scotland head coach Andy Robinson made headlines last week by accusing England of arrogance, there were red faces all round at Murrayfield on Monday when it emerged that the Scottish Rugby Union’s own online store had been advertising a T-shirt boasting of a Scotland win over England – days before the game is due to take place.

Fair play to them I say. Regardless of the sport, I will always 'big up' England's chances as long as I can - that often lasts until kick off time, at which time it's often time to crawl back under my stone :D
Championship Plymouth Argyle 1 - 2 Leeds Utd

Points 46; Position 23 RELEGATED

Just a quick reminder..... only a day or 2 away from kick-off, so make sure your picks are in. Those still to make picks for Round 1: -

Just 9 odd hours until the 6 Nations kicks off, with France taking on Italy in Paris, followed by Scotland hosting England at Murrayfield....... Still to make their picks are Randy, Oz, JimmyGreaves, Tobious & RB.

Surrender Monkeys to spank the pasta munchers, Sweaties to edge it against Beelzebub's XV

Scotland 6 - 13 England

Apart from the odd moment, a poor game between two poor sides.

I have to say that if those are the best 20 players England can muster, we're in for a long period in the rugby doldrums...
This is the way

Not the way they played yesterday......... not taking anything away from an England win, but I honestly thought they were gifted the Calcutta Cup this year.

Again Scotland fail to score a try in the 6 Nations - Dan Parks very poor again, and gave away the only try of the game.

Fair play to Owen Farrell - solid debut.

Now, bring on the Paddies!!

Don't think it'll be a spanking, but will certainly be difficult to come away with a win - especially playing at the Aviva. We'll certainly struggle without the first choice 2nd rows and Lydiate.

Anyway, here's to a great game.
