Another FA farce - how did that song go, 'send in the clowns'!

David Bond, one of the sports editors on the beeb website wrote a blog about the FA and the Capello situation, saying most folk supported the FA. He soon learnt by the responses that not many thought he was talking much sense. The FA were slated.

This to me sums up the UK at the moment. Media led frenzies, no sense of proportion being applied, authorities scared more of what is perceived adverse publicity rather than doing what is right and Joe Public wondering where the hell we're heading?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/davidbond/20 ... .html#more

Sorry, late edit. This is a typical response to Mr. Bond -

It shocks me that the BBC's Sports Editor can pen such a lopsided piece of PC nonsense as this. Get a grip. I'm not a big fan of Terry or Capello but i applaud him for not being a weak 'Yes Man' over this issue.

This is nothing like a player speaking out against him, nothing like it. He is in charge of the team and should have been consulted. The writer of this article could take a lead from Capello and have the guts to give a real opinion and not just tow his paymasters pathetic party line.

"Most people applaud the FA for finally taking such a strong stance on this issue"

Do They?? Leave it Out.

Good timing for the euros :?

I have to say, i quite admire his stance.
He let his opinion be known, which he was entitled to do & has the courage to back it up with his actions.

Who's in next?
Innocent 'arry
I'd give him the job as long as he takes it straight away.
Get England sorted for the Euro's & cause a bit of panic & mayhem at the spuds in the process

Well done Fabio, I agree with your stance.

Let's hope they get a good honest English man in with a record to match your own like..... Eeeerrrm..... Eeeerrrm.

An arm around the shoulder type guy then as that's won.... Eeeerrrm.

I hope it's Hodgson. :lach:

Hate to see harry take the shite England job, however if he does take it part-time till the end of the season and then full time I would hope to see 'The special one' move to 'The mighty spurs' :D

I doubt it that he'll take it though.

I know absolutely nothing about football apart from the last time we won the world cup was back in 1966 yet every four years they keep telling us that this time the team is going to do it again and never does. that said it is good that we still have men that will stand on their principles to the point where they will resign over them. well done that man.
As for Terry. he is a white man accused of racism so of course he is guilty till found innocent. Standard procedure back in the UK of today. Ferdinand also needs to grow some thicker skin and some balls. If they paid me what they pay him they could hurl all the abuse they like at me for the full 90 minutes and it wouldn't bother me one minute.
I have worked on construction sites all over the world and been called all sorts. It has never bothered me for a moment. I just ignore them and get on with my job.
Today the UK has become a Nation of thin skinned, easily offended, bleeding heart victims each looking to be compensated for all of life's little falls.
utterly pathetic
As my old mum used to say, Son " sticks and stones will break your bones but words will never harm you "
Very true and something more people could do with listening to.
It has done me well for 51 years
I never forget a face but in your case I'll make an exception!

:agree:

The country is now a bunch of clowns with no balls. Football is fcked, the media, the FA, pansy players and PC supporters should be shot

England is the laughing stock of the world. A suckers paradise.

Football? Reshuffle the FA, give Fergie the managers job and make Beckham captain. They at least know how to handle their high salaries, the media and getting respect and results

END OF RANT :guns: :guns:

Now back to Rugby for me :)

At least the forthcoming Arry for Ingurland media bukkake will give Liverpool and Suarez a break from the back pages.

They'd have sacked Capello after the World Cup if they could have afforded it. No great loss.

I'd love to see Arry say no - what a hoohaa that would cause!
Sadly, I can't see it happening. He surely couldn't resist the temptation of all those press conferences...

From a Spurs point of view, I'm not too bothered long term, as I see him as a motivator rather than a master tactician, but let's hope it doesn't disrupt the rest of the season at WHL.
This is the way

This racism crap is just getting silly now....

THE England football team was plunged into a new racism storm last night after Stuart Pearce was named as caretaker manager following Fabio Capello's resignation. Pearce, 49, had to apologise to black star Paul Ince for allegedly racially abusing him when both were players.

The incident bears striking similarities to the racist rant charge facing John Terry, stripped of the England captaincy pending his court case.

The Football Association's decision to remove the armband from Terry led to Capello quitting on Wednesday.

Pearce, playing for Nottingham Forest, allegedly made the comments to Manchester United's Ince - an England colleague - during a Premier League game at Old Trafford in 1994. [/

Theres no way Neil Warnock will come to White Hart Lane,Jimmy !! 8)
For the England job,its got to be Redknapp if he wants it......failing that Gus Hiddink as a short term appointment.
Just as long as its not Roy Hodgson with Beckham as his no.2 !!

Woy doesn't like your tone Zidane.

"What do you mean do my methods translate? They have translated from Halmstad to Malmo to Orebo to Neuchatel Xamax to the Swiss national team. So I find the question insulting. To suggest that, because I have moved from one club to another, that the methods which have stood me in good stead for 35 years and made me one of the most respected coaches in Europe don’t suddenly work, is very hard to believe."

More beautys from the face rubber here.

I'd love to see him get the Spurs job.

And I agree GLC, I can't stand 90% of our Football "Journalists", Curtis being just the tip of a huge pile of shite.
