Fck the Argies, never got over that hand of god incident, not to mention those cold little islands full of guano.

I'd have to go with Italy.

Portugal, to beat Holland. I fancy our chances more against them, than the Dutch.

Brazil will always be my second favourite team, in fact its hard sometimes not to think of them as my favourite team. They will beat Argentina in the final.

I'd go along with Burger on that one. The first footbal ground I ever set foot in. I went there a few times later on life when I found that the ground had a pub on each corner.

As for the remaining World Cup hopefuls I have to admit that despite previous rantings I do have a secret desire for England to succeed. Tough one for me though with Holland Spain and France still hanging around.

If Argentina win I think that they should have a 1000 year ban based on the fact that they have previously used a cheating cocaine head and that their vast army, navy and airforce invaded a tiny little friendly Island in the Outer Hebredies.

Hernan Crespo can have a pardon as he is not old enough to know what terrible atrocities his ancestors committed .

Buks, Guess & Big Boy, I am with you on the comments about the Argies.

My favorite second team would be the England Bench, what a back up team to have if we get any problems.

Germans please note at present the score is two world wars and one world cup, soon the become two - two

Not to mention the Belgrano, Margaret Thatcher et al at that time. I was just about young enough/old enough to have been conscripted then.
Sod politics.
Argentina's full of guano and not playing badly, as a team.

Exactly, but not in the way you mean it Lomu - his greatness means that he is part of history. However much it grates, he won't be forgotten and that's not because of his skillful touch past Shilton! The best player I have seen kick a ball, with Zhidane a close second. Being out of the loop over in LoS you have probably missed the fact that Don Diego seems to have been rehabilitated in the eyes of the English media of late, culminating in him taking part in the sport relief charity match, England vs Rest of World before the world cup.

Should be a laugh reading any responses to this.... I can sense arteries bursting already... 8)
