Re: Best pizza in Hua Hin?
The small restaurant on the 2nd floor of Market Village does a great pizza.

When was the last time you went there?JW wrote:The small restaurant on the 2nd floor of Market Village does a great pizza.
I liked their pizza when I went 8 months ago; but I believe the ownership has changes and I was disappointed when we ate there last month.
Re: Best pizza in Hua Hin?
Been 3 times in the last month - really good pizza everytime

Re: Best pizza in Hua Hin?
Are we talking the open front Italian place on the second floor just past the banks and directly next to the hallway that goes to the rest rooms? If so I've looked at their menu and it looks good and I keep saying I'm going to give them a try but never have gotten around to it.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
Re: Best pizza in Hua Hin?
I'm a great Pizza Lover and tried most of places as been here one and half year now.
If you ever have tried those EnJoy's pizzas, you should go and try! They ARE BIG
(may be over 30cm)and crispy.
I have eaten several times. Many kind of fillings and make also of your own choice.
But if I remember right, thought restaurant is open earlier, pizzas can be ordered after 6 pm.

Yes and the Pizzas are nothing like they look on the menu. They're of the thin and crispy (though not that crispy) variety. That in itself was probably the biggest disappointment for me.hhfarang wrote:Are we talking the open front Italian place on the second floor just past the banks and directly next to the hallway that goes to the rest rooms? Yes, closed sadly.PET wrote:I thought it closed a few weeks ago?Toni4484 wrote:for me and many others Bella Mia.
There's a new'ish small restaurant in Soi 80 that imo does a really good pizza. Coming from the train end it's next to 'Oy's kitchen' (no relation to the big restaurant), but I forgot it's name

Think they were 149 Baht, not massive I'll guess probably a typical medium size, but for me perfect size for one person. If you normally scoff a whole large one then won't be enough. Cheesy garlic bread was awesome too, big gooey cheese though, will ask for without that next time... even though it's the best thing I've ate all week

Pizza remind me of a smaller version of Bella Mia's, ie: not too much gooey topping, and a thin soft base where you can pick up a slice and it bends into a sort of 'V' shape. If you're not sure what I mean by that, let my wife explain....

SJ, that reminds me. What about that place on Soi 80 (across the alley from where Dick's Office was) that was run by the nice American biker guy. They used to have good pizzas, but they stopped opening during the day so I quit going there. Are they still in business?

Re: Best pizza in Hua Hin?
Yeah Thaiwaii has closed, remember his were crispier crust and thicker toppings than this other one. Thaiwaii now re-opened as a British-style pub, called the 'Clansman' (not of the 'Clue-Clucks' varietyhhfarang wrote:SJ, that reminds me. Where in Soi 94 is Enjoy?
Re: Best pizza in Hua Hin?
Does anyone else make their own pizzas? I like mine better than anything I've ever eaten in town, but tastes vary and that's the beauty of making your own. I made my own for years at home, and gave up trying to get a pizza I liked here, even though I ate take out pizza at home pretty often.
The best crust I ever had was at Amarcord (long gone) on Naebkehardt, but pizzas here often taste a little bland to me. I guess it's my American taste buds because there's usually an Italian lurking about in the places I've tried. Yanni's was pretty good, but as someone wrote, way overpriced, not to mention being named for the most boring musician ever - plus he's Greek, not Italian.
Given some (home made in my case) dough, you can get a pizza in the oven in about ten minutes. It's REALLY easy and you can make it just like you want - well, except that I can't duplicate Amarcord's crust
.
Depending where you buy ingredients or what ingredients you use, it may cost more or less than eating out. Mine are about 150 - 200 baht per pie, but the taste is exactly what I want and I can kick back with a slice and a glass of red wine and watch a movie while I eat.

Yes I do, and agreed you can get exactly what you want, using local ingredients I love to get a Thai twist. Highly recommend the mozzarella from the cheese factory on soi 10. Other ingredients are up to you!HHADFan wrote:Does anyone else make their own pizzas?
