Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum from a contribution viewpoint, but not from reading it.

My wife and I first visited HH in 2005, although this was by no means our first visit to LOS, as I had made my first trip in 1980, when I was a very naive young man working in the ME............however I digress. In 2006 we bought a property in the fledgling Banyan development, which I guess marks us as undesirable posers, however I can assure you we are anything but.

I am sure the old hands on the forum will know all about the problems with the Banyan and will therefore not be surprised to know that we have only taken "ownership" of our villa this year. Having said that, I would like to say that the current management team at the Banyan (incl. Albert, Maike et al) have been the best since we have been dealing with them and have really made a difference.

Anyway, the point of this post is really just to say that we very much look forward to staying in HH and hopefully contributing to the expat community there, although it will be several years before we become full time residents.
