Ireland don't give up unlike the boys in white, today they did. We know that the Ross injury made the scum weak but they just gave up, blown away no, gave up yes.
Ok, they gave up
Maybe it was because they were getting such a battering ?

C'mon JG, you may have been unhappy with their performance, but 'scum' is a bit strong...

:D Ireland don't have any tight head backups, Tom Court nearly got kiiled! Big problem. Looks like we'll just have to rely on winning Heineken Cups with foreign tight heads in the scum :D !

Bit of a sour end to both the Championship and England's campaign.... previously banned for eye-gouging, now cited for biting - sounds like a decent sort of chap.

England hooker Dylan Hartley faces 12-week ban after being cited for biting Ireland's Stephen Ferris

Exclusive: Dylan Hartley, the England hooker, could face a ban for the remainder of the season after he was cited on Monday night for allegedly biting the finger of an Ireland player, believed to be Stephen Ferris, during the Six Nations match at Twickenham on Saturday.

Hartley, 25, faces a charge of “acts contrary to good sportsmanship” after being cited by Alberto Recaldini, the independent match commissioner, “for allegedly biting the finger of an opponent in the 23rd minute of the first-half”.

The 39-times capped Northampton hooker, who was banned for six months in 2007 for two eye-gouging offences, could also miss England’s three-Test tour of South Africa in June if found guilty by a Six Nations disciplinary committee.

The International Rugby Board’s recommended minimum ban for biting is 12 weeks, rising to 18 weeks for a mid-range offence up to a maximum sanction of four years.

Yes there was a big comotion the referee said he didn't see anything when the Ireland players vigourously complained after that scrum.

I think I'd be equally inclined to ask whose eye that wandering finger was headed for.

Not really condoning biting people's fingers or any other part of the anatomy, but it's a sad day when forwards have to go whingeing to the ref about everything that happens under cover of darkness.

Don't agree with that I'm afraid. There are three heinous crimes in rugby: gouging, biting and tripping (a contemptible act of cowardice) and Hartley has previous. I've seen him get away with plenty down the years and I hope he gets what is coming to him. Ferris, on the other hand is pretty much regarded as a hard but fair player and there has been no suggestion by anyone in the England camp that he was attempting to gouge Hartley. In fact, when I saw the incident it looked as though Hartley had his head buried in Ferris' lap..... maybe he was looking for something else to chew on...!

Anyway, I've composed a poem in honour of Wales' Grand Slam triumph:

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I'm John Inverdale,
So, Lawrence, let's talk about England

Reminds me of that Youtube clip when the young lad claims his brother Charlie bit his finger.
