Cool maybe he is being a little resilient a few weeks ago he was not there and all the sun beds where to the left of the beach entrance it really did not feel like i was on the same beach.

Now if the Tessabahn really wanted to make the best of the beach from the rocks they should put an L shaped breakwater around to make it more swimmer or bather friendly.

They should also offer permits for a hand full of bar resturants and be allowed to have one beach party a week i would love to take my family to a chilled out beach party in Hua Hin :rasta: yeah baby.
A real good example is the weekly beach party at the Ark Bar in Chawang beach Samui a really family event with chilled out tunes and a lovely vibe.

Big Boy, please chronicle your life and feelings as you continue to live here full time (honestly). I really am interested to see if the difference in experiences is the difference between people moving here permanently from the U.S. and people moving here permanently from the U.K. or Europe.

I have been seriously disappointed with my decision to retire and move here but I suspect that may be an American thing. I've been here eight years now and have grown more unhappy with my decision as time goes forward so I would be very interested in your retirement experience over the next few years if you can be objective about it.

I'd also like to buy you a beer sometime!
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Shame about the beach bar going as I had some good memories there. As others have stated, it was the only real place on the beach where you could stop for a drink in the shade and you could also let your kids run off into the sea and still keep an eye on them. I did have one sinister experience there once when I was accosted by an aggressive man wearing make up (one of the rasta's strange mates) as I was leaving but I was rescued by my 8 year old who gave him a solid boot up the ring!

Edit: P.S. Sorry for resurrecting this told thread - I've been away!

Actually, it's as well you have because the shack still seems to be functioning.
Must admit that I don't go in but do pass by regularly and whilst the hotels seem to be "encroaching" and I can't hear any music at 8-9am (because the tide's too far out and I'm too far away), it's definitely still there and supplying sunbeds by the look of things.

I don't think Jaime would get his desired 'drink in the shade' with the new setup. In comparison with the original, the new place is very small.
