I had never driven a motorbile in my life until last December. I finally got fed up with either walking or tuktuks to town and rented a bike. I was somewhat prepared as I have driven in Italy and Italian style is 1) rules are cute but irrelevant 2) to hell with the guy behind, I'm ahead!
I keep to 40kph max and I am always looking in the mirrors, at the side sois, at kids and dogs. Heightened awareness all the time because I know it will be my fault if something happens.

^ Good advice Takiap. :D
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

I have found me just being white in Thailand(Red after the pool and a tan) I am a target for some who think I have baht or money and little sense. But also have found that your safe as long as you do not go outside a certain safe zone as in like drinking to almost in a coma then going to pee in the alley and such and then whos fault is it if you get rolled? Be aware of your surrounding and keep a level head and you should be o.k when you out and just because your not at home should that mean your allowed to be stupid(well o.k you can be but set your limits)
