Champions League 2011 - 2012
Re: Champions League 2011 - 2012
That Messi lad is quite good at football, he's 24.
At times he appeared to be playing on an entirely different level as he brought his phenomenal tally up to 228 goals in 311 appearances - which include 186 in his last 201 games.
The best player of all time.

For once I would agree with you

UEFA Champions League
Can anyone tell me which channel will be broadcasting the semi finals of this year's champions league?
If possible other than Thai commentary :-)

So all of all a sudden, the eternal bridesmaids, Chelsea, are in yet another CL semi-final!
Not quite sure how we have managed it though?
I think RDM really screwed up on his selection and tactics for this game, using a 2-man midfield, in europe, really!?
But somehow, after what I regard as a shockingly poor performance, we stumbled through and we keep on winning!
Now for the mighty Barca' - piece of p**s really!
He will need to pack the midfield for that one and try to suffocate them (maybe literally)!
A job for the old guard, methinks?

Pray for Drogba, I really hope he's ok.
He must've had at least 10 epileptic fits throughout the match, I honestly thought he'd cut that shite out.

He really does not need to do it - quite sickening at times

Agree about the Drog,
But the man is a legend at chelsea and apart from one bad season he is the one most teams fear.
Interesting second leg to come, do they shut up shop and hope for a counter attack or go after them.
This may sound daft but I had a feeling it could be a Chelsea-Bayern Munich final after the last round of matches.
Will maybe be proved wrong next week after the second legs but I think jose has a tough job against Bayern.

Chelsea Barcelona
28% Possession 72%
5 Atempts on goal 24
1 Attempts on target 6
194 Passes completed 782
Ok Chelsea scored the goal but I think they'll get hammered at Nou Camp!

You can have all the stats that you want
At the end of the day it's the number of balls in the back of the net that counts............

Re: Champions League 2011 - 2012
Didn't see the game but read a few reports & the stats are pretty one sided
That said, the result is what matters & a 1-0 home win is a great 1st leg score, if they can nick a goal away, Barca have to score 3.
It won't be easy at the Nou Camp with the crowd as the usual 12th man, hopefully they'll have a strong ref & not have to play 13
Could be the Chelsk used all their luck up last night, but you never know in football.
Personally, I hope they finish the job off next week
