band for hire

Post by creevy1 »

Hi,
I am getting married in Hua Hin in February 2013. Does anyone know of a good band or soloist that does private functions? Thai traditional or western music or combo of both would be ok. Willing to pay someone for their recommendation, so if you are out and about and see a suitable act I would appreciate feedback.
Thanks

Talking about good singers - I saw videos on youtube of David Glasper (lead singer of Breathe back in the 80's) performing in Hua Hin. Does anyone know if he still stays in Hua Hin and does he perform live anywhere? He is a great singer and had some big hits back then, but sort of vanished off the scene.

Surely you are aware that you need at least 10 posts to send a PM and the OP only has 2!!!

Hi Creevy,

Sorry to jump on your wagon. I'm also getting married later this year- Dec 2012 and also looking for a good live band as you do.

I'm wondering how much hiring a band cost, just a ballpark figure. I haven't got a clue and would like to know a little more so I know how it works here.

Many thanks.

Quite a few good bands about, one plays at la birra on Fridays and Saturdays from around 9pm. All thai but the lead singer is the best I have heard in thailand perfect english on thefew songs I heard from him

Also re query above re band costs, this is only a guess but I would think around the 5-7k mark for a function max I would say 10k depends on how many in the band. Most resident band members are getting about 25-30k a month so around 800-1000 a day

Hi,
I am getting married in Nov 2015, and looking to hire a band who will play traditional Thai music for the event. Such a band seems to be hard to come by, so any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!:)

Many thanks in Advnace
