Re-entry stamp at the airport
Does anyone know if it's still possible to get a re-entry stamp at the airport?

The last I heard was a definite NO......you have to get it prior to departure at your Imm Office.

I think the desk is back open again but it has limited hours - I've a feeling that it closes around midnight but don't take that as gospel.
I wouldn't chance it. Get your re-entry permit at your local office.

Re: Re-entry stamp at the airport
I used it in June and is was very quickly done. I was even quicker than using the normal queue, because I could go directly through passport control. It was open from 6 a.m. till midnight and there was an extra 200 Baht charge. But I don't know if it is still open.

Thanks for that information. I'm planning to go to immigration on Monday to renew my 90-day stamp, and I'll get the re-entry thingy then, but it's just in case...

From off the top of my head, the re-entry permit at the airport is more expensive (IIRC, B1200 for single-entry?) and there is no place in the terminal to take photos so you must bring some with you.

When I was there in June they did not want my photos, but made one with a camera.Yes they charge 200 Baht more than immigration.

Todays news--they are worried in the UK that Heathrow Immigration may not be able to handle the Olympic rush.
Things are bad at H'row--last week people were waiting AN HOUR to clear Immigration.
An hour, thats Swampy on a GOOD day.

Re: Re-entry stamp at the airport
At terminal 5, the delays at peak times were reported as greater than 2 hours, which is considerably more (on average) than it is at Swampy. Hopefully they have a cunning plan for the Olympics?Dr Michael wrote:Todays news--they are worried in the UK that Heathrow Immigration may not be able to handle the Olympic rush.

I think a cunning plan for the olympics would be to avoid Thiefrow at all cost

I think a cunning plan for the Olympics for anyone living within 50 miles of London would be to come to Thailand for a couple of months.
This is the way

Gonna get my re-entry visa at HH immigration. Do I need proof of a ticket? or just some tea money

You don't need a ticket, because if you choose not to use the re-entry permit, that's your look out. And I can't think of any earthly reason why you'd need to pay any more than the actual price.

You need to fill in a TM. 8 form, either download it, or they have them with the rest of the forms at the desk outside the door. Single entry 1,000 Baht. NO tea money required!richard wrote:Gonna get my re-entry visa at HH immigration. Do I need proof of a ticket? or just some tea money
