Well after game 1, I think we have to be happier than the French, on saying that, the game was almost at walking pace by the end.

We just need some play makers and I think that means freeing up Gerrard. Parker will hopefully be fitter for the next game and I'd like to see Wellbeck and Young do more when not in possession.

Considering the players we are missing and the fact Hodgson has had barely anytime with the players, it wasn't too bad - but we have to play to win the next game.

I thought the referee was shocking and several cynical fouls to stop England counter-attacks went unpunished, even when he managed ro see them!

Good result & a half decent performance too.
The french referee spoilt it a bit though

Well sadly I didn't see it.
I'm not one of those who hate Woy so much they'd like to see England fail, but this is a poor French team who appear to have dominated possession, and words like "dogged performance" together with reports that England were happy with a draw suggest a mundane lack of ambition that isn't likely to win anything.

Has anyone found a way round this Truevision cock-up?
I tried finding a streaming site, but gave up in despair.
I doubt I'd have been able to stand the constant buffering anyway.
Would have settled for radio commentary, but even that wasn't an option... :(

EDIT: have just seen BB's post on another thread re Thai Expat TV - am exploring that option...

On Home Cable its being shown on Thai tv channels 3,5 and 9 it was also on Vietnam (VTV3) last night.
Cant understand the commentary but little different than Andy Gray,I spose !

I think England will be well pleased with the draw considering France had two thirds of the possession.
Englands defence was excellent, particularily the Citeh pair of Hart and Lescott who certainly came of age as an international defender.
Gerrard and Parker worked their socks off in midfield and Welbeck did well up front on his own
Milner.....missed an excellent chance in the first half and almost gave France a goal with a sloppy backpass in the second half.He just cant take on a man whilst playing out wide but tries hard and who would you replace him with ?
Oxlade-Chamberlain....got hardly any service after a promising first few minutes.
Young.....very disappointing. All he seemed to achieve was to fall over when the ball was played to him.Still,he's a winger and shouldnt really be playing behind the main striker.

Agree with the comments about the ref.....those two fouls he didnt give on Gerrard and Johnson in the second half were shocking decisions,in particular.
Ribery is a horrible piece of work but you have to sympathise with him having a mug like that !
We're all on our uppers,we're all going skint,

Well DM, if you're that desperate to watch Wendyball  , try http://www.wiziwig.tv as recommended by BaaBaa, I seem to remember somewhere on the Forum. Looks to be a similar format to the now defunct myP2P.eu

They're certainly advertising the fact that they are streaming matches - see http://www.wiziwig.tv/competition.php?p ... e=football for current schedule.

[EDIT] Additional: You could also try downloading Sopcast and going through the sports channels. I have had the software on several computers over the years, and have never had any virus/security issues, so IMHO nothing to worry about in that regard.

I too have a dream box but squirrels and rats keep chewing through the cables weekly to leave me with streaming the footie as my only choice. Unlike True, Dreambox (here in bangkok anyway) relies on a landline internet connection rather than the dish. :cuss:

Not sure I agree they are a poor side? They have been on a terrific run of form of late, unbeaten in 20+ and winning 7 of their last 11 before last night, including an away win against Germany.

They dominated possession to a degree, but without great effect and they had a settled side to start with.

It seems these sets of supporters are determined to kick it off big style during the tournament.

Enjoyed tonights games, but Germany look a cut above the rest to me. The Dutch looked oddly disjointed, Portugal will be let down by their defence and the Danes have a tough last game. Seems odds on Germany will win the group, but 2nd place is wide open - all good stuff.

Yep. Denmark-Portugal played an entertaining game, especially the second half was good.
