Hua Hin Jazz Festival 2012

Nothing yet, it is looking likely that the JF will not take place this year.

I have it on good authority that the festival will happen, but it may well not be until August or September.

Any chance of asking your good authority for more info?

The only info 'the authority' (555) has is that the event organisers were definitely in town liaising with some of the venues that host the festival.

This is only a rumour so dont quote it but I heard that they were having trouble with sponsors this year so the JF may not take place at all. Would be a great shame if one of Hua Hin's premier events gets scrapped.

Its a disgrace that this great event has gone from being one of the best weekends in the Hua Hin calender to becoming a complete joke. From about 2004/5 it was a great weekend of fun, music and beers. The best year was probably around 2004/2005 - stage at the end of Sa song Road, stage where they do aerobics near the Tessabahn building, one on the beach road and then 1 or 2 stages on the beach, awesome event with bands from all over the world. It gradually got smaller and when it moved to the Intercon the whole feel of the event changed for the worse and now they cant even organise anything. Seems most of the sponsors money ends up in the hands of non musicians
