I thought Johnson was Englands best player last night. I don't think any of them should be singled out as being poor, they've done what was asked of them by a dinosaur of a manager.

I knew what expect.

Football in England needs restructuring from school up, bizarre that the FA employ a relic in the top position in English football to spearhead it though.

Grass roots football is happening has been in England for the last I would guess 20 years, but the truth is I do believe the attitude is "we are the also runs"

It would have been painful, Italy aren't even that great.
I have to disagree with you there but I'm sure you are just having a little niggle. You know your football... Italy showed more diversity within their passing format than Spain (current world champions I think) have done in the competition and they are supposedly the 'best' at that side of football.... again  . Okay not ALL passes were completed 100%.....(and again) , but that was because some passes often went half the distance of the field rather than knocking it to and fro to each other with 10 - 20 yard passes for the brunt of the game.

Regardless of the disappointment I somehow managed to enjoy watching Italy moving the ball.... just grimaced and twitched slightly every time they did.

That's because some idiot instructed his players sit on the edge of their area and allow Pirlo to boss the game, Italy were great but it's not a great Italy side.
