UFC 148 - where to watch in Hua Hin?

Post by epleple »

Any suggestions on where to watch? Looks like it's starting at 9am and it's on Fox Movies Premium, any suggestions better than my current plan to just walk around the bar area until I stumble onto it? Thanks!

Let that be the last time you roll your eyes at someone for not using google, sateeb!

It's a pay-per-view MMA bout.
This is the way

I doubt that you'll find much in the way of bars open at that time of the morning. It'll even be adventurous hoping that one of the bars serving breakfast will be open that early.

Well, if you can't find a bar and there's no other alternative, catch the live stream here: -

I figured I'd narrow down my question to those that recognised it and save the others having to read the thread :D

Eek :| I have a flyer for El Murphy's that says happy hour starts at 7am, I figured that meant at least one place would be open?

Depending who you ask, it's either the most exciting sport around, or it's two overdeveloped men imitating turtles mating.

Can appreciate that one - I have similar problems here in China. The only way around it is a 3G plug-in (USB or via mobile), which works well for me and I understand a few of the guys in HH use this way around also.

BaaBaa or SJ are probably the guys in the know...

The only up-side to my attempt at getting a 3G USB thingie working was that the shop lady that I was utterly failing to communicate with for over an hour was incredibly cute :D

That's an unusual time for a Happy Hour. Most people will still be in bed. Are sure that you aren't mixing your am and pm's up?

There are twelve consecutive happy hours, the first one starts at 7am
I walked past around 9ish yesterday and they were open and showing Queensland vs NSW rugby.

The bars aren't short of company, but they are long on loneliness

For future Hua Hin UFC pay-per-view googlers: we watched it over a few cold ones and a pretty good fry-up at El Murphy's (around the corner from the Hilton), the staff didn't know what we were talking about so it helped that we knew what channel it was on so they could find it. Pretty much empty other than us and some Canadian bar-owner from nearby. My guy lost :(
