Interesting.

I wonder if Bangkok really is the 2nd Cheapest City in the world? I doubt that, you need to study every city in the world, I assume it the 2nd Cheapest City of the 32 studied (which are all Capitals). I notice Singapore is not there, but I'm certain its more expensive that Mumbai, but cheaper than Oslo

However, considering the 'basket' included petrol, which certainly is cheaper here than in many places, then it would confirm that food, is, generally speaking (like for like) about the same price, or at its extreme, only 19% cheaper than London.

Interesting, and surprising (but certainly not necessarily reliable data)

Well, I don't know how "PriceRunner" get their figures, but I am really surprised to see Cape Town being more expensive than London. It certainly wouldn't seem that way for any Brits going to SA.

Similar comment applies to Dubai - I know that most of the HH community are teetotal but for those who like a beer or three, they would soon spend their HH budget in one of Dubais bars - most of them make the Hilton look cheap!!
