At least once a week at school this would be served. Tasty and great for food fights.

I thought that ribbing was something they did to make condoms more interesting.

DM, perhaps you're thinking of "studding".....lol.

^ Seriously, a question about Banana Pudding has gone to arguments over curry, custard, USA vs UK, condoms and now racism....... wow!!

Sateeb.... being a "foreigner" for the majority of my life through travel and work, I know racism very well. I just don't play the card as some do.... no offense.

[EDIT] Curried custard??? Hmmm.....

None taken...My question was aimed at Chas and Takiab...I just mis-quoted the wrong post. The figure of ethnic minorities in Manchester is actually 19%

My question has nothing to do with being "PC" at all.....anyways .back to topic huh?

This Yank has slowly learned about Brits and their culture in the last 3 1/2 years. Seems to me Brits use 'proper' two ways in the context you describe:
- The way a specific thing is in Britain ,
- The only way a specific thing should be done, and that's how we do it in Britain.
I find the latter to be an irritant only when one won't shut up about it. But never seen it as pompous, just ethnocentric.

Pray tell good sir, what are the others? Are any often used when referring to bananas or pudding? I've heard some men give the nickname 'Charlie' to a body part. Is that of what you speak?
