Buon giorno tutti!

Post by J.J.B. »

Sadly that's almost the extent of my Italian despite living in Milan for over two years. As Brits, my wife and I visited a friend in HH for the first time last year and decided to buy a house (potential future home) nearby. We're coming over to sign the papers and pick-up the keys in August and may see some of you on the streets and in the bars, before we have to return to our day jobs at the end of the month.

Thailand seems like a truly remarkable and unique place, representing many different things to many different people, as the views expressed on this Forum demonstrate! Driving, drinking, eating and everything else we enjoy may not be familiar compared with "how we do things at home" but we like it that way and, who knows, may move out permanently soon.

I've been 'lurking' on the forum for a few months now but with only three weeks left before our arrival, I figured it was about time I made a commitment and said 'hello'. I'm looking forward to making many more commitments to come and will gladly share some of the skills and experiences I've developed over the past *cough~cough* years with fellow posters as I am confident I'll be most grateful for lots of your help too.

Ci vediamo doppo,

J.J.B.

Hi JJB and welcome to the forum, I'm sure you will get plenty out of your participation here.

As you have friends in HH you already have a foot up on the learning curve and am sure you will get settled without too much difficulty.

Like yourself my wife and I are Brits and will be moving into our new villa next month, however only for a short time, as we also have day jobs we have to get back to, maybe catch you around town sometime.
