Yes, I just tried a search and got £589 for LHR-BKK-LHR and £1,264 for BKK-LHR-BKK for the same dates on EVA. It shows you where all the money is these days!

I suppose there is an indirect link in that air fares are pretty much linked to demand and my driver to Hua Hin in June was complaining how few journeys he had been getting recently. I've been paying the same price for years and could certainly get it cheaper now if it wasn't the fact that I value the service they have given me in the past.

I will be going to Hua Hin as well on 2/8 till 5/8 , was finding a cheap taxi coz im on a budget... and i saw post above says that round trip cost 3000THB only... could anyone give me details about the taxi driver and in what ways i could contact the guy?? very urgent!!

what time at day do you arrive in bangkok ,because i come from hua hin in very nice taxi whit a good and polite driver about 08.00 morning the same day you need it, so if he not have anything booked on the way back too hua hin you can go with him.

I'm coming to HH on the 2nd and hoping to leave BKK airport at the latest by 8am and coming back evening of the 5th. If there's a cheap taxi or anyone want to share, it would be great.

Cool... if you can check with your taxi guy to see how much he would charge and let me know, it would be great. Maybe we can set something up...

My other option is to take the first bus from the southern terminal around 4am since my flight arrives around 1am. I figure that'll cost me 7-800 Baht altogether.

Dunno what all this talk of "baths" is but i'm pretty sure Richard meant he sat in the cab,upto Bangkok,and returned.

On meter ,Bangkok is about 1800, 2000 is a perfectly reasonable price to Suvarnhabumhi.

I plan on going to Suwarnabhumi very early on Wednesday morning
(1st Aug). I need to be at the airport by 8.00am-8.30am, so need to leave HH around 5.00am-5.30am.

Anyone want to share a taxi?
