If you've got nothing better to do

Post by Big Boy »

If you've got nothing better to do, maybe you could try this and explain the result.

Open up a new document in MS Word, and type = rand (200,99)

Press the enter key, and wait 3 seconds.................can you explain the results? Apparently Microsoft can't.

This is apparently a normal function of word, used to fill pages quickly when setting up pages in desk top publishing.

See a description here:

It’s an embedded code used to generate text for testing after installing drivers or software.
Try different numbers in the brackets (1,1) (2,1) (1,2)
I think in early versions of word the code generated random text but it must have change to this paragraph so all the characters are tested.
