OK sorry. I missed the part about not being able to cook in their own accommodation. That's screwy.

Guarantee it's a safety issue Pleng.... you can have the kitchen, but by Christ you cannot use it - imagine the the insurance for God's sake!! :cuss:

Anyway, the Welsh athletes are pissed off also - where the frig is the Lava Bread? No-one cares about us!!

On a serious note, Khundon, yourself and your other half (and friends) are doing a great thing IMHO - fair play to you all...... stuff the politics!!

Me, are you kidding pharvey do you really think I am allowed to cook Thai food in my own house?
She who must be obeyed, would stick my gonads in the steamer if I even tried it. I am allowed to cook English and Italian food and if Thai food is on the menu, then she cooks it. And very nice it is to.
No, I am relegated to "logistics" as she calls it. I have to go to the garage and fill her car with petrol, using my money!!!! :cuss:

This morning I went into the kitchen only to find it full of steam, rice cooker bubbling away and a rice steamer belching enough steam to get the Queen Mary up river!
Bream hard frying in the deep fat fryer and all manner of other dishes in various states of preparation. Fair put my Wheety Bangs and milk to shame.

Off she went, scooping up our son and bags of food and was gone in a cloud of tyre smoke, with nary a wave goodbye, to meet three other girls, who are also doing food and then driving in convoy to the venue.

Overkill really, as there are only 4 in the team. :? But you know Thai women, you can never have enough food. :thumb:
I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.

I'm sure they'd find a way, probably a Horse bag full of rice.

Have Thailand won anything? I read they've done well in Womans weightlifting (Bizarrely) and Boxing over the years.

Also, how is the coverage over there, print and TV?

They got silver and 4th in one of the womens weighlifting events. One of their boxers, at least, is at the stage of fighting for a medal.

So Bronze for Boxing at least? Didn't realise until the other day that both losing semi finalists get Bronze.

The two losing semi-finalists each get a bronze.

IMHO the coverage on Thai TV is awful. They only seem to be showing the more obscure sports, and I can only find the one feed. I'd have been totally lost without my Expat TV.
Championship Plymouth Argyle 1 - 2 Leeds Utd

Points 46; Position 23 RELEGATED

Take a look at Thai 7 at 1800 hours. We've been watching that the last few evenings while eating dinner. They showed the 200 meter heats last night along with the javelin and a few others. Good at least for a quick update on what's happening. Pete
