As chopsticks says, Skype contacts are tied to your account - no need to transfer.

Yes, they should. To call from the tablet to your PC at home, you have to create a second account.

Someone just emailed me this

Yesterday Google switched everybody on Gmail to Google+.
That means you can start video chats with anybody (up to 10) in your Gmail contacts list.

Is it true?

You could video talk anyway via Gmail, Google+ allows groups.

Google are basically integrating everything into one. If you're signed in on Chrome or android all Google features are along the top of the Google homepage, Google+, Play, Drive, Youtube, Gmail, Maps etc. It's more of a Google account now than a Gmail account, it's even better when using an Android. 8)

One thing you won't have is Google now, like moi!

It's awesome. 8)

IT Control, Spybot, Cleaner

Post by MajorBloodnok »

G'day mates,

1) Is it true that installing HotspotShield is illegal in Thailand?

2) I tried to download Spybot a couple of times, it took ages and
shortly, before the download was to finish, a message appeared.
warning me that the source/author was not identified.

Does anybody have a safe source for Spybot?

3) My Cleaner refuses to "overwrite" 50% of the free(?) space on
my hard drives. Could this be a symptom of a trojan?

Advice would be much aprreciated.

Thanks mates!

So is prostitution. As long as you use the VPN properly (ie connecting to it before you go into Google), then how would they catch you when you appear to be in the US to everyone that's looking? Unless they get AnchorFree to open up their servers, which are in the US, and they would probably only do that under a subpoena from a US government agency.

VPNs are notoriously difficult to hack and identify who's behind them, hence their popularity.

Spybot can be downloaded here: http://download.cnet.com/Spybot-Search- ... 22137.html

You may also want to try Malwarebytes: http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-A ... 04572.html

Need more info, what is your "cleaner" and what are you trying to do?

Re: The Digital Surgery: US Commercials

Hello,

I have been getting totally unwanted, but very loud snippets of

US radio or tv commercials. :cuss:

No idea where they come from or how to block them. :guns:

Thanks!

Kind regards,

Strange Message When Opening Firefox

Post by lomuamart »

Just got my computer back from repair and am getting a strange message when I open Firefox.
"This Connection is Untrusted". It reads on that I've asked FF to connect to Google but it can't be confirmed that the connection is secure.
Identity of site can't be verified.
It says that if I normally connect to the site without problems (which is the case) it could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site so I shouldn't continue.
Naturally this is worrying and other than getting onto HHF, I havn't opened anything else but am running Spybot and full virus scan now.
As the comp has just come back from the repairer's, could it have anything to do with the fact they he may have checked everything, including internet connection, first?
I do trust the repair shop , BTW. Have used them a few times in the past.
Anyone got any ideas on this as I can bypass the warning easily - it seems.

What was wrong with it to begin with? Sounds like your security settings have been tweaked, Google is pretty safe however there could be nasties on your comp pretending to be Google!

Thanks for the reply.
Panic over, I think. Don't know if this had anything to do with it, but noticed that the date/time was all wrong so reset it. Whilst waiting for Avast to finish (Spybot was fine), I tried FF again and all's running normally. (I didn't bypass the warning or anything).
Edit Well, I should learn not to have the ashtray too close to the comp especially when the side's open. Bloke said it was a disgrace (filthy) and the power supply and both fans were failing/had failed. When I started it yesterday morning, the most I got out of the comp was about 5 mins until it shut down.
Anyway, excellent service again from your recommended bloke, buks (can't remember the name). It was ready within 5 hours, but as it was starting to rain I didn't collect until this morning.
