Hello,
I wonder. Do you need a driving licence for squads?
Thanks!
Kind regards,

Re: Quads
Are you thinking of having a parade with a march-past in the street Major?Do you need a driving licence for squads?
Presuming you mean quad bikes there is another thread about it on here somewhere. I think the result was that they're not strictly legal on the road at all.

Have a chat with Quadmaster, they'll know more: http://www.huahinmedia.com/quadmaster.php

Re: Quads
That was my understanding also - not worth the agro IMHO with regards to the MIB and tea money. However, would still be interested in what Quadmaster have to say and whether there are any "updates". So Mike, if you get in contact with them and get any info., let us know.STEVE G wrote:Are you thinking of having a parade with a march-past in the street Major?Do you need a driving licence for squads?

Re: Quads
An elderly lady who lives in our development has a small quad that she uses to get around, but only very locally (Kao Tao area). She'll have no trouble with police here, but I doubt she'd get away with it if she lived in Hua Hin proper.
This is the way

Hello chaps,
thanks for your messages.
I assume if you need a licence to drive a motor-bike,
it would only be logical to require a licence for a quad
once you take it on the road.
Best regards,
Mike

Re: Quads
I'm pretty sure, but have no evidence to back it up, that you wouldn't get a quad legally on the road here. OK round your moo baan if you know your local bobbies but not in town, however the other day I noticed a shop selling (and renting) what looked like golf buggy type things it's on Petchakasem somewhere near... and here it gets a bit fuzzy... Hin Nam Sai Suay (or whatever it's called) round about Soi 7 (on that side). To be fair the pictures looked a little bit sort of motobility scooter, though I was shooting past at a fair speed, I'm sure they were four wheeled. It might be worth having a look. You might also find that a, for want of a better word, disabled car would bring you less interest from the boys in brown than a quad bike.
Re: Quads
This might not be that helpful to the OP, but the 50cc Honda Gyro I believe are tax free as are used by elderly and disabled. But the are great utube vids of hotted up ones in Japan. You can buy them in HH for B30,000Rob W wrote:If its a balence thing there are those 3 wheel scooters, look like they are made of lego.
They seem to be slow but perhaps thats why some people buy them.
