My wife plays Thai 7 almost 24/7 apart from small breaks to watch Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Eastenders. I've never noticed any sport on there ......................... but then again, I rarely look at the soaps she's watching.

I'm assuming of course that you mean the channel that has a multi-coloured 7 in the top corner.
Championship Plymouth Argyle 1 - 2 Leeds Utd

Points 46; Position 23 RELEGATED

Yes, the one with the 7 logo. Does get confusing as on True, Thai 7 is on channel 3, 5=2 and 3=1.  Pete

Getting back to the OP, how are the Thai Team doing? Have they been performing well, or has all of that sticky rice proved to be just a bit too much ballast? :D How many sailors have your good ladies been feeding?

Thanks caller - interesting.

The point I was trying to make though, was were they happy with their performance? Thousands attend every Olympic Games without a cats hope in hell of achieving a medal. However, the Olympics is as much about taking part, and personal performance. I was wondering how the Thai teams felt in themselves - were they happy with their performances, or really downbeat? I thought KD having somebody on the inside might have known.

There's considerable monetary reward and opportunities here for medal winners as we've seen in the past. I would hope they are happy with themselves win or lose as you say above, the experience is the real foundation of it all.

I read somewhere that in North Korea medal winners received refrigerators  , and losers punished in some unknown manner. Don't know if true or not. I don't think there is any punishment here, but being ignored as irrelevant would be a possibility IMO.

To grow an Olympic sport and attract younger kids to enter training, medals are almost a must. Not many kids are going to get excited about something their country hasn't done well at. Pete

In the same vain, I was touched watching the first female Saudi athlete getting an ovation trailing in a long way behind in her heat. The Brits luve a plucky loser, but was she a loser? I don`t think so, let`s hope she enlightened her ruling countrymen to the value of sport.

BB there are 4 in the team but they did not do very well as expected but at
Least they tried. The boxers were on Thai tv last night getting prize money from sponsors, many millions of Baht in some cases. :D
I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.
