Installing a pool after the house is completed.

Is it safe to have a in ground cement pool installed after the house is made? Any risk to the house's foundation from digging the hole for the pool?

There are a number of "builders" on the forum so you should get some poper technical advice, but the answer will be based on how close to the house you were planning to sink the pool - I am planning to do the same and it will be about 5 metres away.

I had a small pool when I bought my house. They ripped it out and made it 8m longer and way deeper. No issues.
