Jeep

I am interested in purchasing a Jeep....army or otherwise. Can anyone advise me if they have experienced any pitfalls etc., in this regard....what should I be aware of.....what can I expect to pay. Any advice would be greatly appreciated it. Thanks.

The Jeep that I drove here was probably the worst car I have ever driven. it was slow, noisy and the suspension was awful. If you are going to go to the expense of owning a car at least get one with a roof and air con
I never forget a face but in your case I'll make an exception!

Since I've been based in Hua Hin I've seen quite a few come up for sale and they always seem to be offered for around 200-250,000 bt. I believe that most of them in Thailand have been re-engined with Japanese diesel pick-up truck engines which I suppose would make tham a bit more practical to run.

Not sure if the guy still does it but the car wash next to the Shell Petrol Station in Hua Hin, used to have a Jeep Museum

He used to buy & sell also :thumb:

there is also a guy on the same soi as ham and bacon who has a few for sale ,they always seem in good condition ,but as mentioned no ac and could be a problem in rainy season

Thanks for ur advice guys. I know which one u mean Terry, I am sure I saw a beauty there and really got me thinking about a j eep. Used to have a Wrangler Jeep and I loved it, altho the AC did have its fault.....not cold enough in 45 deg heat in the summer time, but my left leg was always cool tho! Thks to all who replied. I will check the places out.
