This is looking like it's going to be 'The Silly Season of Shite Penalty Kicks'.

Cisse just took a shocker against Norwich! How many is that now already?

Anyways now onto tonight's main event... Spurs-QPR. :D Come on lads.

Baa Baa,where did you watch the game ? In the Nightmarket ?
Thought your lads were unlucky but,not too worry, even if you are relegated there could still be a Merseyside derby next season with Tranmere Rovers doing so well in League 1 ! 8)

What a piss poor showing from us in the first half. It's obvious Bale being at left back doesn't work that well. I'm hoping AVB has something up his sleeve to turn things around.

Didn't Bale start as a left back? Odd that he's been pushed back there, wasn't he playing well?

I think you're right Caller but he hasn't played in that position for a couple of years and, because where his talents lay, he shouldn't be used there IMO. I believe it's due to injuries. I'm hoping he's back where he's best in the second half.

Edit: Good news... he's back on the wing.

You are pretty good at knocking managers, have a look inward you have had some pretty crap ones yourselves in the last few years, including the Spanish buffoon
:lach:

The one who had us number 1 in UEFA rankings for 3 years?

Had us top scorers in Europe?

Beat Barca, Inter, Real, AC, Juve, United, Arsenal and Chelsea?

Yep, shite.

Moyes was Rafas bitch.
And Rafa was Fergies bitch, was just too funny watching him wind the spaniard up

Good for Chelsea, not so good for England. He clearly has no faith in the FA. Can't say I blame him.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... nable.html

No doubt this will get the usual 'he's crap anyway' and all such nonsense. The reality is that he continues to be the best English centre back of his generation. For the euro's, it was always going to be a case of who plays alongside him, He was regularly voted in world XI's by his peers and others in the game, including for what its worth, journalists. He was Englands top rated player in the recent euro's and could have played for anyone he wished to in his prime. He was wanted by Mourinho when he joined Real Madrid, ManU by Ferguson when JT was just coming through the ranks and Drogba wants to play alongside him in China!

No doubt the FA will find him guilty tomorrow and it will be interesting to see what happens?

Eh? Good old Fergie, loveable character.

Embarrassing how your lot use the mancs as a second team.

Even i support you when you play them but you support them, sickening.

BaaBaa - you of all people should know that footy is a bitch............ :duck:

Anyway - seems my lot won last night. 8)

Seems the second half line up was what AVB should have fielded in the first half........... :banghead:

In a way I'm glad I went to bed early, the streaming here was just plain useless. Having read the reports, my jury is still not convinced on our new manager

Now

If he does well NEXT week against Manure, I'll start to be impressed.

That's what being reported, it's not true though.

They actually chanted "Always the victim"

They chant horrible shit literally every week. Most of their songs are about Liverpool.

Yes, that just about sums up my attitude as well. Very unconvincing so far, and it seems to have taken 5 games for it to sink in that Defoe is not the ideal lone target man. With the fixtures we had to open the season, we should have had near enough 15 points from 15.

There are a few plus points though: Vertonghen looks very comfortable on the ball and I think he and Kaboul will form a solid partnership in central defence. Both of them can take the ball forward as well as contributing the occasional goal. Caulker is coming through nicely too. I'm still confused why Dawson seems to have fallen so drastically out of favour.

In the past couple of games, Naughton has shown that he's a very capable replacement for Assou Ekotou. Now they're both out, of course, but hopefully not for long, and Saturday's 2nd half back 4 set-up looked reasonable.

Midfield - on paper, almost an embarrassment of riches, but without Modric and vdV we don't really have enough creative genius. Sandro is playing well, but he's a stopper. Membele has potential. Dempsey - jury's out. Bale needs to spend less time drifting to the right, especially without Assou-Ekotou.

Forward. We all love Defoe. Sort of. But we need another Lineker. I'd have taken Berbatov back in a shot at 5-6m quid.

God bless Friedel and all who sail in him. Hope he stay 1st choice (on merit) until the end of the season. I certainly don't miss Gomes.

As for next week - let's hope Man U play like they did against Liverpool.
This is the way
