I'm pretty sure I saw a Red Bull stop for 2.1 seconds. If so, that's a new record!

I wait no longer for the pit stop results and use the table Pharvey provided above. No one picked Red Bull anyway so no change in the scoring.

RZR and JJ Bones had the best race with 10.3 points. Special mention for JJ who jumped 6 places in the standings  .Only three of us picked Vettel to win.

Our top four are now RZR, Parahandy, Pitsch, and JJ Bones. I'm a prime example this week of what can happen if you miss the qualifying deadline when making your picks. :banghead:

1 ▲ 1 redzonerocker (Yellow Cap) 110.50
2 ▼ 1 Parahandy 108.50
3 - pitsch 102.75
4 ▲ 6 JJBones 100.50
5 ▼ 1 BigBoy 100.50
6 ▲ 3 lindosfan 99.75
7 ▼ 1 pharvey 99.75
8 ▼ 3 Richard 98.75
9 ▼ 2 Vital Spark 98.50
10 ▲ 1 Terry 96.25
11 ▼ 3 Pete 95.00
12 - JW 82.00

Next up is Japan on October 7. Below is the schedule Japan time. Japan is two hours ahead of Thailand time. Good luck to all. :thumb: Pete

Sat 06 October 2012

Hamilton is moving to Mercedes, and Schumacher will probably retire, IMO. Pete

Just what I wanted when I picked him to for pole and to win this weekend!

Jenson Button will drop five places on the grid for Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix because McLaren need to change the gearbox on his car.

Sorry late posting. Parahandy had the best race with 8.5 points. JW, Parahnady and Vital Spark where the only players to pick Vettel to win.

Not much change in the standings this week, just some minor movement in the middle of the table. Our top four are RZR, Parahandy, Pitsch and JJ Bones, with Pharvey tied for 4th also.

1 - redzonerocker 118.00
2 - Parahandy (Yellow Cap) 116.50
3 - pitsch 109.00
4 - JJBones 107.25
5 ▲ 1 pharvey 107.25
6 ▲ 1 lindosfan 107.00
7 ▼ 2 BigBoy 106.25
8 ▲ 1 Vital Spark 105.25
9 ▼ 1 Richard 104.75
10 - Terry 103.00
11 - Pete 101.25
12 - JW 88.00

Next up is Korea this weekend, below is the schedule. Like Japan, Korea is two hours ahead of Thailand time, but I've listed the below timetable in Thai time. Good luck to all! :thumb:

I've received a message from our captain, Pete. It seems that they had 19cms of rain in just 20 minutes over in Pattaya, and most communications have been washed out. It could be days (if not weeks) before they are restored.

He will not be able to make his weekly reports until communications have been restored..

I have a photo somewhere of me at a New Delhi Hash gathering circa 1986-7. A very fond memory for me. I'd scan it and post it, but I'm worried about Vital Spark getting overstimulated.

Incidentally, I believe she and Mr VS are in India at the moment.

F1 plan a pipe dream

Re: ''Potential venues for Grand Prix revealed'', (BP, Oct 18).

Kanokphand Chulakasem, governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand, says he is sure that a Formula One race will take place in Thailand in 2014 while at the same time naming potential race sites.

As any engineer, fan or race organiser knows, it would be impossible to stage a street race, especially at night, in two years' time. The monumental engineering feat and financial cost would put too great a burden on the government and citizens of Thailand.

The article states that the one-year deal with options to extend is in the bag.

This is absolutely not the case and one wonders about the motivation behind such false information being spewed out by a government agency.

One just needs to look at the recent track record of construction projects to conclude that this project as proposed is monumentally expensive and unattainable as well.
