The most interesting way has to be to turn off at Bangsaphan, head from yai to noi and at the crossroads where you turn right to noi, turn left and follow what I call the coast road the whole way.

Bang Berd, national parks, sandunes, fishing piers and villages, cave temples, an amazing chinese temple with incredible views over the bay that unfolds before you and so on.

Aah, how I miss that trip!

Bike is the best way to explore, if you don't want to ride that far take it on the train to Thap Sakae then ride the coast road for the rest, here is what you'll miss by getting a bus:

And if you are coming back from Chumpon you can take a tuk-tuk song teow leisurely up the coast road to Bangsaphan as we have. Not quite as much fun as buksie's biking ,similar feel and a little safer. And you can ask your driver to wander off and explore some of the little beach places on the coast as you go.
Complexity is so simply overrated
