[quote="HHTel"]You're correct Buksida in that a legal marriage is split 50/50 on divorce and any land/property is ordered to be sold.

Hi mate, I am unfortunately heading in this direction myself, the wife wants out and is demanding the earth, she must think I am Thaksin. I have no big issue with splitting 50/50 land/property etc in Thailand but does the court take into account assets accrued during the marriage but held overseas? I still work overseas and have my salary paid offshore, I also have overseas properties and investments, all held solely in my name. Surely she can't have any rights to them?

I am also on the look out for a good lawyer but hear no end of bad stories about them.
