Seeing what?

Rooney was captain.

Looking at their results, I'd say 0-5 is on a par with everyone else. You can never really look great against such teams. At least we kept a clean sheet this time!

I think we saw the complete lack of imagination. About 80% of the match we saw exactly same tactic - short passing, through the middle, straight into a wall of blue shirts - this presented no danger whatsoever. It was only on the rare occasion they moved the ball to the 'spectators' on the wings that they remotely looked like a decent team.

At worst, that tactic should only have lasted until half time,

Having said the above, we always have that problem against crap teams - I hope it's a different story on Wednesday morning (2 o'clock kick-offs are such a killer).

In all fairness, it was hardly the first choice team that played & it's sometimes gonna be a boring game & a case of going through the motions against these minnows :?
More like a training game.

If we'd won 10-0 there would still be moans

We were slagged off for 'only' winning 5-0 in Moldova, yet one of our main group rivals Ukraine went there friday & drew 0-0

I agree that it was always a no-win game, regardless of the score. However, certainly in the 2nd half after they'd secured the points, they could have been more inventive.

To be honest, i didn't watch the whole game, only bits & pieces.
Knew what kind of game it was gonna be :(

Tuesday should be a better contest though & worth watching the whole game  :D

Same as me. I spent most of the time watching the Welsh playing the jocks. A bit of payback time there.

What a farce in Poland last night :cuss: My son and I were up until 4am before they told us the match would be played today.

There should be some sort of enquiry as to why the Poles didn't close the roof before it was too late, or probably why the FIFA reps didn't order it. Weather forecasting these days is good enough to know when there's a nasty storm heading your way.

What was that referee trying to do by making an appearance every 45 minutes and throwing a ball around?

Where were the groundsmen?

Then the biggest farce of all was when the Polish press lady was interviewed - if we can close the roof, the heating system will clear the water in 30 minutes. Now that's something I'd have loved to see. Imagine the humidity those guys would have been playing in ............. if you could have seen them through the steam.

At the end of the day, I suppose there is a God who is smiling down on us. Today's 4pm kick off (UK time) or 10pm our time is much more acceptable :D

It's certainly available on Thai Expat TV. Sign up for a free trial, and enjoy it as if you were sat in your armchair in the UK.

The Portugal / NI game was fun - terrible conditions - but I really thought they would hang on for the win, they scored a great goal as well. I think the Portuguese will struggle now.

Predictably Scotland and Wales lost. Scotlans manager will b sacked in the next few days.

The Polish FA had no workers to clear the pitch. They are all in England.
