HH- Bangkok Southern Bus Term. - Pattaya

Post by Homer »

Anybody done this route?

I'm meeting a friend from the US. Told him about HH - Victory - BTS-Ekamai - Pattaya. He asked about HH - Southern Bus - Pattaya, which would avoid the minivan. Web site http://www.pattayabus.com/?page_id=1559&lang=en shows times and prices for South. Bus - Pattaya but no info on how long it takes. Can't find any info how long it takes between HH - Southern bus. Obviously all times are estimates but would help to know. Also there is no date on the South Bus site so have no idea if this route exists.

I've done it in reverse: Pattaya-Bangkok Sai Tai Mai-Hua Hin, and it's pretty easy.

If he's doing it to avoid mini-van,a be aware the the Hua Hin-Sai Tai Mai big bus service is not nearly as frequent as it used to be. I recall it being every 40 minutes departing Hua Hin, but now it's only every two hours.

Length of journey varies widely based on traffic and whether the bus stops for fuel. Hua Hin to Bangkok should be 3 to 3.5 hours, and Bangkok to Pattaya about 2 to 2.5 hours?
