Leeds thug attacks goalkeeper

Post by caller »

Pity the FA are selective in what they find unacceptable.

90 hate filled minutes between Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds tonight, culminated in this.

They need to get back to basics.

I remember Leeds fans attempting to wreck what was left of the dilapitated old North End at the Bridge years ago. I was a steward then. They were all held back and marched out one by one via a Police shield. I watched it from the Police control room. The guy in charge just radioed though "him, him, him" and took out all the thugs they had on camera doing the damage.

I saw a post match interview, Dave Jones, the Sheffield manager was upset with Neil Warnock who urged his Leeds players to go to their supporters end and applaud them.

The point to me is how everyone has lost the plot with the focus on racism. Wenger mentioned this yesterday and I agree with him. Dave Jones (falsely accused of child abuse when a teacher) talked of the abuse he has suffered for years.

Its at every game to a degree, when opposing fans are close together, or when a player of the opposing team collects the ball for a throw on or corner. I recall Malouda being abused by a single QPR fan at 'that' game when he collected the ball for a throw. He was about a yard from the guy virtually spitting out every bile you could imagine, it was shown on TV, nothing racist, but nothing was mentioned of it.

It seems to me if the crackdown was on abuse, you wouldn't have to worry so much about whether a moniker was added!

TBH, whilst I realise it's a blinkered view on my part..... this pretty much sums up why I never have and never will go to a football match. :(

Great stewarding/policing of the crowd by the way!!

Horrible club, horrible fans and a horrible manager.

Glad they went down the pan.

Also I'd like to see that shithouse try that on Kirkland face to face, Kirkland would break him in half.

^^^  Funny, but also a bit sad...

I notice that the dedicated Leeds 'fan' comes from Cheltenham. I thought they had a better class of hooligan there.

Nah, it's just a bit of fun on the Liverpool forums, we've got him on a grassy knoll and riding with Hitler.

Football scum! lock this asshole up and throw away the key!

I firmly believe that football, its players and hooligans are one of the reason why English society is what it is today. The young generation going back years look at these txxxs as their role models, they cheat, swear at referees, spit all over the place and generally behave like animals. What chance has society got of generating good people when they look at the likes of Wayne Rooney as their hero.
This is generalized and some footballers do try , Beckham, Michael Owen and many more are good people but the majority would be in jail if they were not gifted with a talent for kicking a bloody ball!

Rant over.

I'd hardly call Michael Owen a good person.

How's Tiger doing these days JW?

Does John Daly still play a round?

Different world, you don't see golf fans rioting. Maybe not all angels but a different world of people. Not getting into an argument here cause there simply isn't one.

How many deaths/injuries in football rioting over the years.. and how many in golf/cricket/rubgy, motor racing, aussie riules, baseball, etc.

I am talking about the general affect on society that football has had since the 70's.

Football has been the national sport for well over a century. Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
