Anyone see the City game this evening? Without Joe Hart they would have been absolutely rolled over by Borussia Dortmund! He made 6 outstanding saves to literally save them. City are misfiring, at best, so far and its going to be a struggle for them to get out of their group. In fairness Mancini conceded Dortmund were the better team and they didn't deserve the point secured by a last minute penalty.

Arsenal and Chelsea had comfortable enough wins, but United?

Ouch!

Chelsea well and truly beaten tonight by Shakhtar, quite a team and thankfully Cech had a great game, kept us in it really. Duff goal conceded in the 1st couple of minutes, than after 17 Lamps went off injured and we ended up being stretched like last season, the fellow Willian is one class act - very impressed.

So, 2 poor goals conceded, our passing all over the place and then at the death, we nicked one back - phew! Still in it, but would settle for 2nd!

The Mancs fluked a lucky win and Celtic were unlucky.

Good competition so far.

A great comeback by United after being two goals down in 20 minutes....and we had a perfectly good goal disallowed......no way was that a lucky win.....but our defence.....Carrick is never and never will be a central defender.....give Wootton a chance,Sir Alex.
But what attacking options....Van Persie,Welbeck,Hernandez and Rooney.

Chelsea will need to beat Shakhtar Donetsk at Stamford Bridge and avoid defeat against Juventus in Turin to qualify,I think.....they were very lucky that Juventus couldnt beat little Nordjaelland last night.

Shocking luck for Celtic, losing to an injury time goal in the Camp Nou.

Amazing night of Football last night.

United are ropey as hell if teams actually have a go at them. Was gutted when they got Kagawa but he looks like he's struggling to settle.

Only saw highlights of the others, Celtic unfortunate but hey, it's Barca.

Chelsea will get through, Shaktar are decent. Torres though.

Stay classy Citeh. JUST IN:Very heavy confrontation between hundreds of Ajax and Manchester City fans in Red Light district street.Police closing access

That's England on the right.

Shameful you lot.

Jesus, we may be crap but at least we'd go beat Barca and Real in their own backyards.

Not lose to the likes of Schalke, at home, convincingly. :lach:

Arsenal should get through (not that they are convincing)

City are comedy gold though, not surprised my season ticket holding mate has jibbed this week off.

Awful summer for them, still probably 3rd or 4th best squad in Europe but Chelsea should walk our League. (Through hard work, talented scouts and gifted coaches mainly)

I suppose one of us Arsenal supporters had better comment before we are accused of only posting when we`re winning. Absolute shambles, no fight, no urgency no pride. They need to improve and soon.

Stop praising us up :?

Almost as bad as the diabolical display at Norwich :? :(

I have no doubt we'll still qualify for the next stage.
Finishing in the runners up spot usually gets a tough draw in the knockout stage, so there really needs to be an awful lot of improvement in our last 3 games.

QPR at home on saturday, surely we won't slip up there?

I know, I know.

Gonna be a breeze for us though tonight... :D

Incidentally, was reading the BKK post today and if Liverpool were to lose tonight it would be the first time they have lost back to back European games... in their existence.

Quite an achievement that and certainly not a record that Rodgers will want to be breaking.

I forgot to add that this thread is about the Champions League, something Spurs fans have no interest in. :neener: :neener:
