somebodu know where i can made woodcarvings in huahin?
Re: wood carving in hua hin
I don't know anywhere that actually carves wood but on Petchakasem road, a few shops before the Shell service station, there is a shop that sells pre-carved wooden details for roofs, banisters, shelves and that kind of thing.

There's also the furniture shop on the road that turns off Chomsin over the railway line, and goes down to Canal Rd.
I've only seen the good craft stuff and the class handcarved furniture in Chiang Mai, where you can see it being carved.
But I'm wodering if the OP means a place to learn carving. Which would be a no in HuaHin I think, and probably a no upcountry as well. Traditional Thai crafts are jealously guarded.

I do not know where that actually holds water, but Petchakasem road, a few shops for the Shell petrol station, there is a shop that pre-carved wooden details for roofs, railings, shelves and stuff sells.

Or maybe we have to cut a bit of slack for people who just might not have very good English? Just a thought....Dannie Boy wrote:I think we have a troll once again!!nimitone wrote:I do not know where that actually holds water, but Petchakasem road, a few shops for the Shell petrol station, there is a shop that pre-carved wooden details for roofs, railings, shelves and stuff sells.

Not a troll, but definitely a time-waster.nimitone wrote:I do not know where that actually holds water, but Petchakasem road, a few shops for the Shell petrol station, there is a shop that pre-carved wooden details for roofs, railings, shelves and stuff sells.
