Yes I think they are right there. I have to wonder though if Thai attitudes towards sex would be different if the country had been colonised (as per a recent thread discussion) but maybe - given the religion - it wouldn't have made any difference.
They worship the thing which produces life, and that can be seen in all the phallic symbols around. There is no shame in sex. There has never been a Victorian style prudish influence.
But as much as I don't understand the Western attitude, I don't understand the Thai attitude to ageing, where Thai women consider themselves to be 'old lady' the minute they hit 60 (or sometimes less.)
The only explanation I can think of for this attitude is that Thai women recognise that men need a reproductive age woman - so they give way to the younger fertile female.
