Has anyone used an ATA Carnet to get goods into Thailand?
Did you have any trouble from customs using the Carnet?
ATA Carnet
Re: ATA Carnet
I use ATA Carnets frequently when shipping in goods for my business.
Of course the ATA Carnet is used for temporary import of goods.
In all cases I've appointed a clearing agent to handle the processing, delivery, removed and re-export.
The only big issue I've had was when a Carnet expired (only a few days), and it was very difficult for the issuer of the Carnet (a US Company in California) to get eh bank bond released on teh US side. Eventually all was resolved, but took some time.
For what purpose are you using the Carnet?

Re: ATA Carnet
I have been using the Carnet doing exhibitions all over the world, at the moment im in Australia and will be back home in thailand in Jan before going to work in South Africa, so im only stopping for a rest.
I have never used an agent for my carnet as I go straight to the customs and deal with them face to face.
