Does anyone happen to know the time schedule and how much quicker is it than the train? I usually visit Koh Phayam every trip and rather than take an overnight bus to Ranong which is a pain I take the train and spend a night or 2 in Chumphon, then off to Ranong in the morning !

I briefly looked and didnt find and info !

Thx

I've done the journey before, it leaves Hua Hin at approx 0830 and arrives in Chumphon at around 1230, the ferry then leaves at 1300.

If you want to go to Ranong you need to tell the driver you want to get off at the highway intersection because the Lomprayah ferry pier is 20km south of Chumphon city. It maybe easier just getting a regular bus, they head south all day long and can be picked up at the clock tower.

Well somebody might, but I certainly won't!! I know it can be dangerous to assume (and therefore worth checking), but would assume its one of the same buses that leaves at 08.30 & 23.30 and its just that they don't schedule Chumphon as a separate destination - either that or you'll need a parachute to jump off as the bus passes through.
