Premier League 2012-2013
Re: Premier League 2012-2013
Fellani deserves any ban he gets, just lost it. No need at all and will hurt us over the next few games

On the other hand it was only "Legbreaker" Shawcross that got the "kiss".blue05 wrote:Fellani deserves any ban he gets, just lost it. No need at all and will hurt us over the next few games

I expect the Albanian lawyers society will be taking up the case

The luck runs out, long may it continue :-)
Rafael Benitez failed to win his first trophy as Chelsea manager as his team lost against Brazilian side Corinthians in the Club World Cup final in Japan.

Diplomacy is the ability to tell a man to go to hell so that he looks forward to making the trip

Corinthians were much the better team, can see a few of their players in the Premiership soon
Re: Premier League 2012-2013
I wouldn't say they were much the better team. I felt the problem Chelsea had, as we have had all season, was in not taking our chances early on. The Torres factor is a massive issue as a lone front man who is not a target man, so roll on January.
Not sure why Benitez changed the team from the other day? But good to see Lamps back and I agreee with Nevin that he was our best player - with Luiz.
Anyway, its a side issue, we need to start winning in the league now.

Spurs 1-0 Swansea
An interesting game, but probably not a classic for the neutral observer.
Only one up, I was half expecting another last minute equaliser (or worse), but it would have been a travesty of justice.
Swansea are a decent side, and they defended well for much of the game, but they really didn't show much ambition up front.
This is a game we should have won by 3 or more, and that's what worries me more than anything - if we'd been 2 up against Everton last week, sure as dammit they would never have come back.
24 shots on goal, 16 on target and 1 goal. Not good enough.
Vertonghen and Dembele - great buys.
Sigurdsson - disappointing.
Dempsey - the jury's still out.
AVB - the jury's still out, but he has definitely (and belatedly) changed his approach to suit Spurs' style.
Nice to see Parker ready for action.
Bale and Assou Ekotou back soon.
Then Kaboul.
It will be interesting to see how we go then.
We need another good striker - Berbatov would have been interesting.

Santi Cazoria becomes only the third Spaniard in history to score a hat trick in the Premier League after Torres and Jordi Gomez.
This was a personal triumph not only for him but also myself as I brought him in to replace the injured Gareth Bale in my Fantasy League team.....one of the few transfers that have worked for me this season !
So Arsenal up to 5th.....assuming United,Citeh and Chelski will be the Premierships top 3 (not necessarily in that order) it will be interesting who grabs the 4th Champions League spot.....Spurs,Arsenal or Everton,I reckon ?
With just 9 points from 17 games Reading look doomed already. They dont just need a couple of new signings in the January transfer window but a whole new team....a shame because they did so well winning The Championship last season.

4th spot depends on which team has the staying power. Any thoughts?
