Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand

We've certainly got the strong Northerly wind, but the temperature is currently 26C, although it feels a lot cooler in the wind.

There are always a couple of weeks around Dec/Jan time when the temperature drops.
I'm feeling cold right now. OK, that's relative to other colder climates but I think it's a wind that blows down from Siberia/Mongolia, through China and then hits us.
Wrap up in some warmer clothes and watch out for colds/flu etc.

You're right about that. Yesterday after my 18C morning report, it got up to 34C in the afternoon and I'm sure the heat index was around 40+. Today to be the same....19C right now. That kind of flip-flop everyday will do you in concerning colds and flu. Pete

I've just taken my son to work - 23C here at the moment. Rose to about 28C yesterday.

What's the weather been like the last couple of days down there?

The reason I ask is it's been frikkin' cold during parts of the day for the the last 2 here. I'm on the Hua Hin side of Bangkok (Samut Sakorn), only a couple of hours from Hua Hin, and at night, not only has the aircon been off but the fan too!

Even a quilt has been slept under rather than on top of.

It is nice in the mornings that's for sure. Looking at the temperature it's really not that cold compared to 'Ol Blighty'. It's funny how you acclimatise after a while here.

You getting any of this cold spell in Hua Hin?

First thunderstorms of the new year hitting over here in the east last night/this morning. Very early, and as usual with first rains here....the electricity went out. Pete

My phone has a weather warning for Hua Hin, "Expect showery weather Sunday evening until Tuesday afternoon."

Enjoying a rare good night's sleep and awakened at 1230 by one of the worst thunderstorms I can recall , even including last rainy season. Pool overflowing, street running like a river etc. Now 0215 and still going on. Winds from SW and so are yours in Hua Hin at the moment and won't be surprised if you're getting wet over there also. If this keeps up the damn termites will swarm early this year. Pete

Still dry here, but a little overcast.

Termites swarming Now, there's something to look forward to. Experienced it for the first time last year, and hated it.
