FA Cup 2012 -2013

Post by caller »

So how did your team do?

Chelsea and Spurs strolled, United needed to rely on Van Persies brilliance, Newcastle flopped and Luton beat the Wolves - all good stuff?

My winners - Chelsea of course!

Poor Newcastle. What's going on with Ba probably didn't help matters. I don't want to put the jinx on anyone but they could end up in the bottom 3 this season. Riches to rags for Pardue in just two seasons. :( Pete

Sending out an inexperienced second rate team didn't help & Ameobi getting sent off for 2 innocuous fouls didn't help much either :?

There were lots of challenges/tackles/fouls worse than Ameobi's two bookable ones :? :?
Some of these ref's just haven't got a clue, mainly of course, due to the fact that they've never actually played the game  :|

When v. Persie left Arsenal, I for one, said that no individual player is bigger than his team. How wrong I was R.v.P is so much bigger than his present team. Sad really.

Yes you missed the fact that RVP came on late to win matches for United when they were struggling. Plus 16 goals out of 38 is quite a high percentage.

Ah Suarez, can't blame him, but Mansfield will feel cheated about the winner, it shouldn't have been allowed. How the ref and lino missed it beggers belief! Too many big decisons being missed this year.

I suppose any player who got away with handball and scored wouldn`t tell the ref not to allow it, but to then kiss the hand smacks of gloating and is not a good quality to possess. Remember that other South American midget who scored with help from the "hand of god?"
No doubt our resident Liverpool apologist will have a rational explanation for his behaviour.

The rational explanation is that he kisses a Tattoo of his daughters name that's on his wrist and his wedding ring finger after every single goal the Evil Bastard.

Last season vs QPR.

This season vs Norwich.

Very odd the Football "Journalists" chose to "forget" this.

Baffles me this "little Luis" stuff, I presume it's his style of play that makes people think he's small as he's actually 5'11, which makes Arsenal look like a squad full of oompa loompas.

See, I knew there would be a logical explanation. Not enough brain power to think that maybe he should not have kissed the hand that was responsible for the goal. He enhanced his dodgy reputation to all but Liverpool fans.

Presumably it's lucky that his wedding ring is on his right hand, otherwise he'd be waving his arms like an aircraft controller every time he scored.

On the other hand (EDIT: no pun intended), I doubt anyone can name a pro footballer in the last 60 years or so who would have said "Oh come off it ref, I touched it with my hand, you can't possibly allow that."

The once great Thierry Henry springs to mind, Arcadian. And didn't he gloat afterwards!
This is the way
