I've been there several times for the 99 baht breakfast, had the fish & chips a few times, and the missus has tried a couple of the other dishes also. The food is always good, and value for money.

The little flying insects that come around when sitting out front can be a pain though.

It's in the row of purple shophouses on soi 94 (the top part where the road turns to crap), just before you get to the new Oy restaurant. Just along from the Bar/Motorbike Rental place discussed on another thread.

Is this the location of Gifs? Google claims it is on the stretch of 94 between Phetskasem and railway.
Which is it?

Tried this place a couple of times, not impressed. The bloody dirt track at the front was a pain to drive down and do not eat outside if you want to avoid the dust - 35 baht for a Leo sounds good though.

To be fair, no matter where about you eat in Hua-Hin, if you sit outside, there's going to be dust and dirt flying about, even if the roads are tarred. From what I remember, that part of soi 94 isn't all that busy anyway, but yes, I can understand some people being put off by the dust.

I've never had any problems sitting outside. The tables are far enough away from the road... never had any problems with dust.

I don't know if they still do it, but they had ham egg and chips on the 'specials' menu which was very good. The first time I think it was only 80bt a plate. The second time I had it it came with beans and was 100bt. I have no problem paying 100bt, but wished the beans hadn't made an unwelcome experience!

Also bacon or sausage in a crispy roll for under 50bt is pretty decent!

I keep meaning to go back there and try a few different things, but I just never seem to get around to doing so. I have tried the fish and chips, and as I've mentioned on the forum, I wasn't really impressed since they use that frozen river fish from Makro. Then again, at the price they charge, once can't really expect to get cod, red snapper and etc. I do recall their menu looking quite good, so I will be back, but I first need to try the Indian place in soi 94.
