Hello,

Would like to watch Super bowl 47, Murphy's? Sports Villa.... would love to wake up and switch it on in a hotel and suggestions would be greatly appreciated ...... also I have heard True will not have it, Sky will?
Thanks so much for any info!

What the link tells me is that it starts at 0600 hours on February 4 on True Sport HD, True Sports 3, and ASN. Pete

A bar on Soi 80, Gulf of Thailand, is putting together a good little gathering.

It's my turn for the party, so not much work going to be getting done on Monday.

Up until,a few years ago,we would party all night, but most of us have grown older and wiser, ......well sometimes.

Have never got around to watching the SB....... probably because I've never really followed American Football. If I manage to complete this job a little ahead of schedule, I shall make a concerted effort to watch - it is by all accounts being shown on Chinese TV. Can anyone recommend a site where I can read up on the basics/rules of the game........ would make for a little more enjoyable viewing if I knew what the hell was going on!!

You would really have watch it with a group,it won't be much fun on you own. I got into it years ago and Superbowl is definitely one of my sporting highlights of the year..

^ Thanks for that Dozer - shall peruse later tonight!! :D

Agree 100% that watching the SB (or any sporting event for that matter) would be far more enjoyable in a group. Unfortunately, I rarely get that opportunity, working away from home and being in places with few westerners/expats doesn't lend itself to that.

Being a rugby supporter doesn't help either!! Guys here in China have not even heard of the sport - Premier League however...... :guns:

I shall however endevour to join our American cousins and follow the game............ they are poofters though aren't they, wearing all the padding? Christ, almost as bad as the Wendyballers! :duck:

I am also a rugby fan, and had a similar view to yours, until I started to really watch it.

There are a lot of Europeans who knock American sports, that included me, but the more you get to understand them, then the more you can appreciate them........ Except for basketball, just can't get into it....

Usually the "Playoff games" leading up to the Super Bowl are much more exciting as one team is usually more dominant and runs away with the game. However, this match up is different as the coaches of the two teams are "BROTHERS!" One has been in the NFL twice as long as the other, but the head to head match ups, (only 1 so far) has him the winner. SO it should be fun as they may have different tactics. If you do watch it, I hope you enjoy it.

Great game, without a doubt one of the best in recent years. The best being the Steelers in 2009, then again I am biased.

Thought the power outage was a game changer, the 49ers were getting hammered until the lights went out.

Had a good turnout for the party, I watched the Man City/Liverpool game and then up again at 05:00. The first guys started showing up at around 05:30

My wife did a magnificent job with the food and she even had time to enjoy the game.

All the guys commented on how peaceful the village was early morning " no barking dogs", so looks like I will be getting more orders for the Ultrasound Units.
