Wat Khao Noi Concerts - 21 to 29 March

Another series of FREE concerts are due to be held in the area, featuring top Thai acts.

The concerts will be held at Wat Khao Noi (does anybody know where that is please?)

Mrs BB has read the names of the acts to me, and my interpretation is;

21st Mar - Singing Competition
22nd Mar - Non Pim
23rd Mar - Aluc
24th Mar - Khao Tip Tidahdin
25th Mar - Lachanoon Si Lopahn
26th Mar - Ghiat Tamur
27th Mar - Yim
28th Mar - Ungkwan Walayah
29th Mar - Tawong Lasinoon

These events are usually supported by a local market and fun fair, with plenty of Thai style eateries. Shows normally start at about 9pm with the support acts, and the main turn usually comes on stage at about 10.

Do you perhaps have any further information on the singing competition and whether foreigners can enter?

BB I think your wife did really well to read the artists names after the 25th in the photo. However, I think there is some correction needed for the first 3 dates. Of course I may be wrong :-)

For location of Wat Khou Noi refer to recent thread about The Boat restaurant. From the khlong road lights go past the Boat (on the right), past the market, and you'll get to the temple after about a km. It's the other one that was all lit up at the same time as Wat Smor Phrong recently.

Thanks for location as well. I thought the lighting up there was overkill with nothing special happening.

As someone living close to Wat Samor Prong who had to endure 9 days of terrible noise (at all hours) from the concerts there, my sympathies go out to those near Wat Kao Noi.

My advice would be to do as my neighbours did and get away for a week! I wish I had!

I was just up near Wat Khao Noi today and thought it funny there are no billboards advertising this anywhere around. On closer inspection of the photo I see that it's a different Wat Khao Noi, not the one in Hua Hin. The poster shows it in amphur Panburi (ป่าณบุรี), but I couldn't find that in Google, but there is one on the northern side of Pranburi. Could be that one? Is that where you took the photo BB?

Important news hhinner (especially for me as I'll be dragged along on at least one night) - thank you. The poster was just South of the flyover.

Hi BB. Your absence was noted in another thread. Glad you're back.
I was down in Pran today and passed the soi where this temple is. I didn't see any big posters advertising the event around there, which makes me dubious about whether that's the place or not.
There's a similar event being advertised in Hua Hin starting on March 8th running until 16th which also has rsiam "stars". There's a big advertising "gateway" outside gee an teung supermarket on Chomsin, just west of the railway. I think the location is somewhere along the road to Takiab, but not sure.
