To be blunt, you should be doing much, much better.
I know, I should, and I will try to do so.

Yes, echoes of my school report as well, but with Wenger and the cap fitting....

The FA Cup was Arsenals only realistic chance of a trophy this season.
With an average gate of 60,000,eight years without a trophy is pretty poor.Wenger has been a great manager for Arsenal and his teams always play attractive football,but........
With David Moyes stalling over a new contract at Everton,I wonder if he would be a good fit for the Gunners ?

And lets not forget their are two very important FA Cup ties today involving those fallen giants of English football,Manchester City and Chelsea ! :rasta:

Hell, Arsenal have as much chance of winning that as Chelsea had last year.

Oh, hang on a minute...

The only consolation is that there are no smug posts from Spurs fans.

The brutal truth is that the FA cup was your best chance of winning something in what, 8 years? So why doesn't the manager play his strongest team and try and wrap the game up and then withdraw the best players? These guys aren't old and they'll need no motivation for the game against Bayern that a 'rest' will add to.
I think the starting line up was strong enough to have put Blackburn to the sword, they barely got into our half all game :?
I haven't seen the game, but I understand the boos echoed around the Emirates at the end.

Its becoming increasingly clear that the fans are losing patience and I don't know what the answer is. To be blunt, you should be doing much, much better.
A bit more than just boos at the end :D
As i've said before, i think Wenger has passed his sell by date, or his stubborn style of management has.
The squad is good but not quite good enough, a couple of quality signings in January would have solved that, we have the money & we expected more than just a left back :? :cuss:

Anyway, we can concentrate on winning the champions league now

That Moyes rumour is gathering at quite a pace :|
I'd happily welcome his appointment in the summer

If the rumours turn into fact Moyes would be a good choice, despite Baa Baa`s opinion. At least as a British manager he would stiffen up the back four.
Yesterday Gervinho and Oxlade-Chamberlain were useless, Diaby slowed the game down and couldn`t find a killer pass and Rosicky ran around like clockwork mouse, and just as effective.
I agree that Wenger should have put out a stronger side but the ones who did start should have done better. The fans who pay top money (luckily I am no longer one of them) deserve much more, but then the game is no longer about the fans.

Chelsea won! Phew.

Brentford did well and made it hard. They're on the up and hopefully they can get out of Division 1 this season and with luck, their plans for a new stadium a stones throw from where they currently are, will be approved - but its right by the feeder road to the M4 at J2 out of London, the Chiswick Roundabout and Kew Bridge, so some traffic issues to be addressed to say the least!

So next game is Boro away, that won't be easy, but at least Josh McEachran won't be able to play against his parent team. He's gonna be a top player and hopefully back at the Bridge next season. Should we win there, we have another tedious trip to Old Trafford - easy!

City showed Arsenal how a top Premiership side should despatch a mid table Championship team....two goals up in the first 20 minutes, they hardly broke into a sweat.....too easy for them.
And a decent draw for them in the quarter finals......United v Chelsea should be tasty IF it happens !

My God, if Chelsea don't win tonight.....and with the team Benitez has put out, in the morning he should be strung up, drawn and quartered - and then sacked.

Last chance saloon for him.........

Team:

Cech, Ferreira, Ivanovic, Terry, Bertrand, Ake, Ramires, Moses, Oscar, Benayoun, Torres. Subs: Turnbull, Cole, Luiz, Lampard, Hazard, Marin, Ba.

Well, he survived but it wasn't good.

Cannot work this manager out, still trying to get my head around his selections for the City game. He's a spent force.

And he is so patronising in his comments about the players. Always places the blame on them, saying they need educating, need to learn tactics and so on, yeah right. A bad workman always blames his tools......

I'm sure Benitez is a manager many good clubs would be happy with, but it's equally clear that he never stood a chance at Chelsea. Just like Hodgson at Liverpool, you ain't gonna last long if you don't have the fans behind you. But Benitez has history against him as far as Chelsea are concerned, and he has a point when he says he hasn't been help by being labelled as the "interim manager".

Not too much sympathy for Benitez, as I'm sure he's being paid more than adequately to put up with 6 months' abuse, but this mess is down to Mr Moneybags. As usual.

"Interim manager".......well Benitez must have known thats what he was signing up for and if you look at Chelseas record since Mourinho left they have all been "interim managers."
As for "Mr.Moneybags",its his impatience for instant success that is the root cause of Chelseas current problems. But if he leaves with all his millions you could see Chelsea imploding similar to Portsmouth.

Anyway, the United v Chelsea quarter final is a match to savour before caller comes to terms with the fact he might soon be posting with Big Boy on the League 2 thread ! :rasta:
