Thanks for the memeory Pete. I just dug out of my vinyl 'back collection', a 'Ten Years After' track by Alvin Lee playing 'The Stomp'. Great blues forever.

Mr.VS is cooking up a lovely pasta dish in the kitchen accompanied by Rammstein (at pretty high volume) - it's all Sandman's fault. We've had a lovely lunchtime 'session', wished our mums a Happy Mothers' Day, grades have been submitted, and we don't have much to do until the first week of June. It's let your hair down and relax time... 8)

Yikes, it's a bit late, and I should be in bed, but old man Cohen can still belt out a good song. Crap video, but the music's good...

Just listened to your playlist Buksi. I like your taste in music.

saw him live last year. what is remarkable are the musicans around him. More than half of the audience were women, admittly middle aged. You could almost here them sigh when he sang 'Because of'.

Women have been
Exceptionally kind
to my old age.
They make a secret place
In their busy lives
And they take me there.
They become naked
In their different ways
and they say,
"Look at me, Leonard
Look at me one last time."
Then they bend over the bed
And cover me up
Like a baby that is shivering.

Found the compilation CD of Roxy Musics 'Streetlife' in Sainsbury's the other day for £3! Haven't listened to it since I mislaid the cassette God only knows when? Loved the intro to this about an appearance on the Old Grey Whistle Test - great stuff!

Going back through the vinyl collection came across one of my favourite Traffic songs, Dear Mr Fantasy covered by Crosby, Stills and Nash and also by Paul butterfield Blues band.

Anyway besides Steve Winwood, heres the other Traffic guy, Dave Mason doing it.

Enjoyed that a lot, but you can't just say SW was the other Traffic guy, Jim Capaldi and Chris Woods are obviously in the mix! Great band and great albums!
