Can residents select a management company?

Can residents select a management company?

Does anyone have experience of this. Our development is progressing towards setting up a Juristic Entity but have no plan "B". If we do not achieve the required 50% votes is it possible for the residents to contract out to a management company with out reference to the developer?

Reckon best to ask a lawyer to get a real answer.

Do your homework on this one with a Lawyer. I was in one development that had a management company take over from developer (because he flew the coop) and most people felt they did not provide the service to the level they were charging in addition to gouging residents for elect. and water. One year later most residents decided to go it on their own and no management company. Makes it difficult to get anything done to project when this happens.
